The outstanding item from this article is the claim by Jason Posselt, product marketing manager for Lumileds, of possible price targets of 1 cent per lumen. That’s not likely to happen this year, but it remains a tantalizing prospect. It’s still worth a read to get the inside scoop on what the major makers are bringing out of the labs this year.
