Toshiba pocket-sized projector offers big-screen action

Filed under:

According to an article in New Scientist titled Pocket-sized projector offers big-screen action, Toshiba will be bringing a compact projector using an LED light source to market before the end of the year.

Rather than a white LED, the projector uses individual red, green and blue sources to achieve the full color gamut. This device will have several compelling advantages: instant-on, instant-off, no cooling fans needed, and very very compact at 136 x 39 x 100 mm (that’s comparable to a paperback book).

The projected (sorry) price is €1000 ($1250).
